9 Nights / 10 Days Royal Rajasthan
This tour covers the palaces and forts of the Mughal Empire, including the Taj Mahal and fort at Agra, the fabulous Pink City of Jaipur and the romantic palaces on the lake at Udaipur. The riches of the area are fully reflected in its wealth of palaces and forts, all of which are magnificent examples of stone carving, inlay and mosaic work. Each palace has its garden, many of which remain as cool and tranquil oases in the desert landscape.
Day 01: Delhi: On arrival transfer to your hotel. Later, take a half-day sightseeing trip of the city.
Day 02: Delhi-Agra: (200 KM- 4.5 Hrs) On the way to Agra look at Akhbar's tomb at Sikander. In the evening take a sight-seeing trip of the city.
Day 03: Agra: Visit the timeless Taj Mahal at dawn when the rising sun bathes the monument is a delicate night. In the afternoon visit Agra Fort.
Day 04: Agra- Jaipur: (230 KM - 5.5 Hrs) On the way to Jaipur, visit the abandoned city of Fathepur Sikri, briefly the capital city of Akbar.
Day 05: Jaipur: In the morning visit Amber Fort, where an elephant will take you up the steep hill to the beautiful decorated fort and palace. In the afternoon take a tour of the famed Pink City of Jai Singh, with its palace, observatory and bazaar, with its wide boulevards and endless opportunities for seeing the goods on sale being made in the gem cutting and fabric printing workshops.
Day 06: Jaipur - Jodhpur: (350 KM- 7.5 Hrs): Jodphur is the largest city in Rajasthan and stands on the edge of the Thar Desert. The city wall is 10Km long and encirlcles the old town.
Day 07: Jodhpur - Ranakpur - Udaipur: (266 KM- 6 Hrs) After a tour of Jodphur, visit the fabulous Jain temple at Rankpur, with its 1444 richly carved pillars, on the way to Udaipur.
Day 08: Udaipur: Udaipur is one of the most romantic cities in Rajasthan, its palace bursting with examples of miniature painting and the epitome of flamboyant glass and mosaic-encrusted Moghul architecture. The palaces and old havelis are reflected in the two lakes which nestle in the surrounding hills.
Day 09: Udaipur - Pushkar: ( 285 KM- 6.5 Hrs): Puskar is famous for its camel fair, but for the rest of the year it is fames as one of the holiest cities in India. The temple to Brahma is unique and the bathing ghats which encircle the lake provide a beautiful setting for a short stay.
Day 10: Pushkar - Kishangarh - Delhi: (350 KM - 8 Hrs): On the way to Delhi visit the old village of Kishangarh with its old havelis, some of which are still painted in the traditional manner. After an overnight stay in Delhi, morning transfer to Airport to Board flight to hometown,
